Jeff van Zyl

Director

Jeff has been working as a consultant, trainer and coach for over 20 years. During this time he has worked with a wide range of clients, from large multi nationals to one person community based organisations, and managed diverse projects, including ‘whole systems’ change, leadership development and talent management, executive coaching and design and facilitation of training curricula and programmes. Jeff has worked extensively in Africa and Europe and currently lives in Devon.

Jeff’s passion is helping people and organisations with the concepts, behaviours and tools needed for their success and resilience. He believes that we can all expand our ability to meet each situation with intelligence, that is, conceptual, emotional and behavioural intelligence. In this regard, he has worked with leadership and operations teams of organisations as diverse as BP, Pfizer and The Haven Nightshelter. Organisationally, Jeff works with senior teams as an enabler to their strategic function.

Jeff graduated in Operations Management (PG Dip Ind Admin) at the University of Cape Town, where his focus was Systems Thinking and organisational development. He also holds a degree in Psychology  and is a member of the Association for Social Development. Jeff maintains a healthy community involvement, which includes serving as a Trustee for Charities and developing resources for schools and school children.

Jeff’s coaching practice focuses on helping people meet the questions, challenges, tensions and complexities they face in a healthy and developmental manner. As a coach, he partners with his clients, assisting them in making their current scenarios, in their full complexity, visible. Conscious and informed decision making and action taking lie at the heart of this process. Jeff strongly believes that when people are able to meet their life situations in the way they need to be met, they themselves grow and develop in the process.
